February 2010: MythoLogic: Visions and Patterns
A three-woman show featuring the works of Margarita Brosova, Natalya Kolosowsky, and Kimberly Piet. The exhibit will have an opening reception on Saturday, February 6th from 6 to 9 pm. Music will be provided by DJ Eye Dialect. The show will run through the duration of the month and end on March 3rd. Regular gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 12 to 6 pm.
March 2010: To Have and To Hold: A solo show by David Christiana
March features lulubell's only solo show for 2010. "To Have and To Hold" exhibits the personal work of illustrator and university of Arizona faculty member David Christiana. Jpin us for Mr. Christiana's first large-scale exhibition in Tucson. The opening reception is March 6th from 6 to 9pm, featuring the music of DJ's Sync and Chooch from azsessions.com. The show will run the entirety of March, closing on March 31st. Regular gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 12 to 6 pm.
April 2010: WonderCon San Francisco
Join us at Moscone Center in beautiful San Francisco, CA for 3 days of vinyl toy exclsuives! WonderCon is Northern California's largest toy, comic and art convention! WonderCon 2010 is April 2-4th, and tickets may be purchased online at a discounted price (WonderCon 2010 Tickets), or at the day of the event. Stop by & see us at booth #223!
April 2010: Almost True: Art Based on Real Events
April will feature over 20 artists, including Israel Sanchez, in the group show "Almost True: Based on Real Events". Join us for the opening reception on the second Saturday of the month, April 10th from 6 to 9pm, as each artist reinterprets events big and small, global, national and personal. Music will be provided bu acoustic trio Beatnik Dream Vacation. The show wil continue through April 28th. Regular gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 12 to 6 pm.
August 2010: Custom Yoka Show
Lulubell is honored to bring this traveling custom toy show to Arizona! Come see what 200 artists did to this 3D Yoka "canvas"! AdFunture provided their blank 3" Yoka panda bear vinyl figures and DKE Toys co-founders Dov Kelemer & Sarah Jo Marks found over 200 artists to participate in this Custom Yoka Show! Featuring work from 20 countries, the show turns the quirky little panda into everything from a dirty thug to a sweet snail in this tremendous exhibition. Pieces range from $25 to $800 and all will be available for purchase through Lulubell.
The show features: Anthony Ausgang, Jophen Stein, Heidi Kenney, Steven Daily, Snaggs, Arbito, Chris Ryniak, kaNO, Itokin Park, Dan Goodsell, olive47, Dacosta!, Chino and literally hundreds more! The Custom Yoka Show premiered at Designer Con in Pasadena, California on November 21, 2009, and will tour through five galleries around the country, and land in Tucson for it's final stop. Not to be missed!
